Terms & Conditions


Please read our club handbook thoroughly on joining. By agreeing to our terms and conditions you are agreeing to the guidelines set out in our handbook.

Fees are payable all year round once membership is made, with 2 weeks allocated off for Christmas within the monthly calculation. Annual membership fee of £10 is due on joining a subscription class and every August. One months notice in writing is required on cancellation. As a charity we are eligible to claim Gift Aid on donations. A percentage of fees are allocated as a donation for the upkeep of the building and equipment. Please indicate when signing up via Class for Kids if you are a UK tax payer and happy for us to claim gift aid with no extra cost to yourself. 

Gymnastics has an inherent risk of injury and although Astro Gymnastics will endeavour to minimise any risk, accidents may still happen. It is incumbent on all members to abide by coaches' instructions and safety rules at all times. Participants/parents are required to ensure that the gymnast is physically fit and healthy to participate, particularly after illness or injury. All Astro gymnasts must be members of Scottish Gymnastics from week 3.

ARRIVAL AT CLASS:

Pre-school, All P1-3 classes & Tumble class - please come straight into the waiting room where a coach will collect the class at the start time. Children will be brought back to the waiting room after class.

Aerial, All P4-7 & All S1-6 classes - Please wait in the drop off area outside (right side of the building) for a coach to collect the class. After class, please wait at the pick up side (left side of the building).

PLEASE NOTE THAT GYMNASTS AGED 12 AND UNDER CANNOT LEAVE ASTRO WITHOUT AN ADULT. THIS INCLUDES CROSSING THE ROAD TO A PARKED CAR. ALL GYMNASTS MUST BE COLLECTED FROM THE PICK UP POINT.

Parents accompanying children in parent & toddler classes are not permitted to use equipment.

All gymnasts must register with Scottish Gymnastics by their 3rd week.

Please let us know if you will miss a session, especially in the run up to events.

We politely ask that coaches are not disturbed during class time, please contact the club via phone or email prior to class or ask for a quick chat at drop off. Parents are not permitted to enter the gymnastics area under normal circumstances.

Gymnasts should not enter the gymnastics area until collected by their coach at the start of the class. Parents are not allowed in the gymnastics area under usual circumstances.

Only water bottles are allowed in the gymnastics area. No food is allowed in the gymnastics area under any circumstance.

Please label all items of gymnastics clothing. Lost property is kept for 1 week.

Gymnasts and parents are from time to time called upon to take part in fund raising activities.

Members not adhering to the Club Handbook or to the Code of Conduct may be dismissed after 1 verbal warning and 1 written warning.

We occasionally take photos/videos of the gymnasts for advertising, publicity, training or archive purposes for use on our website, social media and local papers. If you do not want your child photographed or videoed please indicate on joining.
